Urban Heritage

  • Heritage Toronto: 2004 Community Heritage Award For “the work you undertook to ensure that this superb example of Art Deco/Art Moderne architecture was saved from demolition. Your work of enlisting the support of Toronto’s communities, winning National Historic Site designation, and, most of all, changing Toronto policy by proposing fiscally innovative formulae for developer-government cooperation within a heritage context, will continue to guide and inspire others. For this effort, the people of Toronto are in your debt.”
  • Heritage Toronto: The First Members' Choice Award Ever Presented by This Agency “To the community organization that the members of Heritage Toronto found to be the most significant of all community heritage efforts in the city.”
